GMAN Webinar on Recent FDA-Approved Myeloma Drugs

Did you miss the recent GMAN webinar on newly approved myeloma drugs? On Friday May 13th, Dr. Rafat Abonour of Indiana University presented on each of the newly approved drugs, how they were developed, how they operate, and their uses in the clinical setting. We feel the information provided will prove useful to GMAN members in countries where these new treatments are undergoing approval. By providing real world information on the impact of each treatment, advocates can better educate policy makers on the need for access to new and innovate drugs as they become available. 4th Annual Summit Sneak Peek

We look forward to seeing many of you next month in Copenhagen for the 4th Annual GMAN Summit at EHA. We have included a digital copy of the member packet with this newsletter and will have printed copies for you at the summit, so please save your paper! Without ruining too much of the surprise, we are excited to share a sneak peek of what we have in store for you during the three-day summit – there will be a boat ride, interesting presentations from members and industry, food, drinks, new friends, gifts and definitely some fun. For those of you that are unable to join us, there will be plenty of other opportunities for you to get involved with GMAN after the summit. We look forward to seeing many of you next month! If you have any questions, please email rwezik@myeloma.org.

NewMemPlease Welcome Our New Members!

We are pleased to announce two new members to the GMAN community from Spain and Iceland! Both organizations are brand new and we cannot wait for them to meet all of our wonderful members at the summit so they can see that they are a part of a large and active community. Please take a moment to say hello to Kristín Einarsdóttir from the Icelandic Myeloma Association and Kyla Juett and Joan Bladé Herrero from Comunidad Española de Mieloma Múltiple (CEMM). GMAN now includes 37 organizations from around the world. Together we can make a difference and improve the lives of myeloma patients.
